Overall, as others have said, if you know what you're buying then you'll be very pleased. The screen is great, the start up and resume amazing. We use it to browse, do email, and a lot of streaming TV shows and movies. I have also tried doing some work on it when I was laid up on the couch, and as predicted, it wasn't very good for that - you can view PDF files easily, Word documents not at all. So, overall, knowing that it's not going to be a work computer but just basically a good toy for web use, it's great.The only reasons I didn't give it five stars are hardware. Like others, I am not a fan of some of the keyboard modifications. I miss having certain keys that were eliminated, such as "end" and "home" or being able to have some keyboard shortcut to jump to the top or bottom of a document, or the end or beginning of a sentence. The backspace key is just slightly farther... I use my Chromebook to access the servers at work and I perform all my personal work with ease. Major downside is the processor is too slow for games on G+ with our local anemic broadband network speed. The track pad took getting used too. |
